Make a Wish and Blow Out the Candles
As I reflect on everything the Lord has done through Christwalk Ministries since October 2016, I am blown away. It is way more than a wish come true. However, I should not be so surprised because this is what he promised our family, if we would just trust Him and come to the mountains on faith.
God impressed upon us that the ministry was here waiting and so were the finances to see it through. There is no doubt that God has proven to be true and faithful to His word and promises. It reminds me of the scripture I always choose to stand on from Ephesians 3:20; the Passion Translation says it very well.
“Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will out do them all for his miraculous power constantly energizes you.”
51 Never Looked So Good On Me
My 51st birthday was last week on March the 1st, and to say God gave me an incredible birthday present would be an understatement. Christwalk Ministries received the deed to our new Christian Retreat Center, Christwalk in the Valley.
The Executive Director of Christwalk in the Valley, Tina Benoit, was the one God clearly spoke to last July to begin this amazing process.
If you do not understand the importance of this ministry gift, please go to one of the following websites to see this mighty move of God that has recently unfolded. Christwalk in the Valley or Christwalk Church and Ministry Center. It is now time to tell you about this amazing retreat center and how you can join us for your next spiritual retreat.
Why Should I Stay at Christwalk in the Valley?
Christwalk in the Valley is a private 55-acre mountain retreat in Clarksville, Georgia. The Valley is located just 5 miles south of Tallulah Gorge off Highway 441 North.
The Retreat Center sleeps 60 per night with two smaller cabins that sleep four people each and two larger cabins, one sleeping six upstairs and six downstairs and the other sleeping seven up and seven down. Our newly renovated Damascus House sleeps a total of 24 people and is split to house 10 on Side A and 14 on Side B.
The Valley is perfect for pastors and their wives, small groups, families or individuals who desire to get away to the mountains and grow closer to Jesus. We invite individuals and groups to reserve spaces for their own retreats, but we also host Christwalk Conferences with various themes and guest speakers throughout the year.
Our first Youth Conference was February 15-16, 2019 and our Women’s Conferences are scheduled March 8-9 and 29-30, 2019.
We will host The Art of Marriage Conference May 31-June 1, a Men’s Conference June 21-22 and the Christwalk Movement Conference July 19-20 and August 16-17, each with different themes and guest speakers.
The Valley Offers A Variety of Options
Christwalk in the Valley is a refuge where you will enjoy God’s peace on our 2-acre lake or upper fishing pond. A highlight of the Valley is all the hiking tails along our streams and small waterfall.
From Bible study to personal prayer time, you will enjoy the beauty God has created on this property that was founded by Bonnie Hanson and Allie Marshall in 1979, formerly known as Fellowship Valley.
Groups love building fires by the water and doing smores’ or individuals can escape to sit quietly in the gazebo located half way around the lake.
The outdoor chapel is located on the side of the mountain and seats 75 people.
The dining area is where we host meals for groups of 15 or more. Breakfast, lunch and dinner packages are available for groups.
Some groups choose to come for the day and hold meetings in the Upper Room, which will accommodate 40 people.
Meeting space is available in the dining hall where we can seat a total of 125 people.
The best option is to stay with us for overnights and include meals as part of your Valley Package.
Our Ministry Adventure Has Led to a Mega Door for Effectual Service
When we started this adventure in Habersham County in 2016, we only knew two people.
Now, with God’s amazing plan, Christwalk Church Cornelia has grown to over 150 members and Christwalk in the Valley is the second campus of the ministry with endless possibilities, a mega door for effectual service!
As I stated earlier from the Ephesians scripture, “never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you!” As my friends Jeff and Sheri Easter sing, “Over and over…again and again…God is faithful!” I must say now that I am OVER 50…God is truly faithful!
I encourage you to check out Christwalk in the Valley and make plans to come stay with us in the near future. We look forward to your visit!
